Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy

1. Nature of Our Products

All products supplied by PPT Research Ltd t/a PPTDS Lab (PPTDS) are synthetic research peptides sold strictly as Research Use Only (RUO) materials. These compounds are:

  • Manufactured to exacting purity standards under controlled laboratory conditions
  • Subject to strict storage requirements and defined shelf-life parameters
  • Inherently sensitive to temperature excursion, contamination, and environmental variability

Because the integrity of each product is inextricably linked to its unbroken handling history, our returns policy reflects the physical reality of what we supply.

2. Statutory Framework

Where a purchaser qualifies as a consumer under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, please note the following applicable statutory exceptions to the standard 14-day cancellation right:

  • Regulation 28(1)(c): The cancellation right does not apply to the supply of goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Research peptides being biologically active, biochemically labile compounds with strict storage and expiry requirements fall within this exception.
  • Regulation 28(3)(a): The right to cancel is also extinguished where sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons have been unsealed following delivery.

Where the purchaser is a business, institution, or research organisation (i.e. not a consumer as defined under the Regulations), statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply, and orders are placed on a firm-sale basis.

By completing a purchase with PPTDS, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms.

3. Pre-Dispatch Cancellations

Order cancellation requests must be submitted before our 17:00 PM (UK Time) cut-off on the day of ordering by emailing hello@pptds.co with your order number and cancellation request.

Once an order has been dispatched and entered the postal or courier network, it cannot be cancelled, redirected, or recalled under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made on the basis of changed circumstances, delayed decision-making, or failure to review the order prior to submission.

4. Accepted Claims: Damaged or Incorrect Orders

PPTDS will honour a claim only in the following circumstances:

  • The wrong product or quantity was dispatched due to a picking or fulfilment error on our part; or
  • The product arrived visibly damaged or physically compromised in transit (e.g. broken vial, crushed packaging with evidence of leakage or exposure).

All claims must be submitted within 48 hours of confirmed delivery by emailing hello@pptds.co with:

  1. Your order number
  2. A clear written description of the issue
  3. Photographic evidence (multiple angles, including packaging and product)

Claims submitted outside this window, or without supporting evidence, cannot be processed. Do not return any item without first receiving written authorisation from our team.

5. Refunds

Where a claim is approved under Section 4:

  • A replacement or refund will be offered at PPTDS's discretion, depending on stock availability.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of authorisation.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the issue arose solely from our error.

6. Non-Eligible Returns & Refunds

The following circumstances will not give rise to any right of return, replacement, or refund:

Incorrect product selected by purchaser

Purchaser responsibility to verify suitability before ordering

Vial, stopper, or container opened, punctured, or unsealed

Product integrity cannot be verified; health and hygiene exemption applies

Storage failure on the purchaser's part

PPTDS's cold chain responsibility ends at delivery

Delivery refused by recipient

Refused consignments cannot be returned to stock; no refund will be issued

Mention of human, veterinary or therapeutic use

All PPTDS products are RUO only; any such claim results in immediate refusal of service

Claims submitted outside the 48-hour window

Evidence cannot be verified; claim is time-barred under this policy

 

7. Research Use Only — Compliance Notice

All PPTDS materials are supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research by qualified individuals operating within appropriate institutional and regulatory frameworks. They are not intended for, and must not be used for, human consumption, administration, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, veterinary, or any in vivo application.

Purchasers are solely responsible for ensuring lawful use, safe handling, appropriate storage, and compliant disposal of all materials in accordance with COSHH and applicable laboratory safety standards.

PPTDS accepts no liability for outcomes arising from any use outside the defined RUO scope. Returns, refund, or replacement requests citing efficacy, personal use, or any non-research application will be refused without further correspondence.

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
